We arrived in Mexico on August 10, and were still staying at a hotel by the time school started on August 20. Living in a hotel is NOT all it's cracked up to be. Four people in two rooms tend to step on each others' toes. And make a mess.
Yes, the maids came daily, often when we were not yet ready for company. However, we were hoarding dirty laundry, in part because we thought we'd have our own washer and dryer soon, and it part because it freaks me out to think of people touching my underwear.
So, the first day of school comes (it does not dawn, because we were up before the sun), and the kids put on their ADORABLE uniforms. We dragged ourselves to the breakfast buffet at 6:30 and took a picture of the kids in the lobby of the hotel. I think you can read their faces...

Claire and Linc,
Your indivduality shines through the uniforms. The uniform gives Linc a distinguished grown up look. Claire, you're adorable no matter what you wear, and that's the truth Angel Face! Quit arguing with a computer screen.
We sure miss you guys.
Love,
The Busters

Hey, thanks for letting me know how you are and where you are! I knew you were moving, but didn't know when. My gosh, when did all the kids get so old? Of course, that can't mean that we're old too????
It's very good to hear from you. Who knows, the Petersons might even keep in touch with each other through this forum. ;-)
I never got to wear a uniform to school. I'm jealous.
Let us know when you're ready for visitors. OK, that may be a while.
Hugs all around.
Dave
OMG!!! I am having that uniform picture posted as my wall paper at work and home!!
Jason- I hope work is going well and you are getting the respect you very much deserve.
Lisa- thank you for taking the time to put this together. I hope you are keeping busy and not being driven crazy by the local men with cat calls...
Lincoln- which are better: American chickies or the Mexican chickies? Don't run with the wrong crowd or I will have to come down there and get mafia style on your butt.
Claire- hey chiquita! Have you found a great local fashion store for your off school dress up time? My B-day is September 19th and I would love, love, love a picture and note on some of the stationary I got you:) Be sure to send a drawing for my fridge and at work art displays.
I hope all of you are doing well, not getting ill from the water and enjoying the weather and local scenery.
I'll be checking back often so keep me busy with groovy updates pretty please!!
Love, peace and namaste

The picture of the kids cracked us up! Good job on your first blog. Cheche's jealous that your kids have uniforms (it's a culture thing, we grew up in a similar system). We could send you some JLo CDs or better yet Gwen :). Take care my friend. We look forward to more pictures.
